About Talitah Couture

Roots in Fashion

Talitah Couture – renowned for creative design, excellence in couture, individual service and great attention to detail; pioneered by Talitah Helmand, a passionate designer and couturier whose love for fashion is in her blood. Her talent has its roots in her family, who were tailors originating from the French Huguenots that came to South Africa in the 1800’s.

Creative Design

Talitah Couture has been creating exclusive designer garments for more than 20 years. After matriculating, Talitah continued her studies in fashion design. Delighted in winning the designer award in 1984 – for which her prizes included a straight stitch and over-locker – she started her couture business. In the 90’s she continued designing and making up ranges of eveningwear, receiving orders from as far afield as Cape Town and Namibia.

Personal Service

Talitah finds interaction with people most important and focuses on the design and couture of individual wedding and evening garments. She has a passion for brides-to-be, enjoys personal contact, loves people and finds the creating of beautiful garments for them most satisfying. Talitah Couture operates from Talitah’s studio at 38 Homestead Ave, Cnr Kenneth, Homelake, Randfontein, Gauteng, SA. She designs on request to buy or rent and is available by appointment.
